RPPR Game Designer's Workshop: Research

The second episode of RPPR Game Designer's Workshop is up. We talk about researching RPG projects in general and the specific materials under consideration for Red Markets. Special thanks to IGDN and Jason Pitre for turning us on to all these great resources. Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments either here or over at RPPR.

Thanks for listening and keeping up with the development of Red Markets.

The Wives of March Released!

The full, 46-page PDF for The Wives of March is available for download at DTRPG! It's easily worth two or three full nights of terrifying gaming for your group, and just in time for Halloween. Please go download a copy today and tell your friends. Remember, all our games are Pay What You Want; we appreciate whatever you can spare, but we're just happy if your players enjoy the game. At the very least, read it and write us a review!

This is the fifth and final game in the No Security KS. We did it! Woooooo!

Now to get cracking on Red Markets...

New Home

Hello. This is Hebanon Games' first post in our new home.

For those new to the site, Hebanon Games is an indie RPG publisher started last year with the generous investment of Kickstarter backers. Our first project, No Security: Horror Scenarios in the Great Depression, was wildly successful, and we've spent the last year fulfilling promises.

One of those promises was a website. Formerly using Wordpress, that site has been hacked not once, not twice, but THREE times despite the creator's best efforts. All the blog posts are lost, and the fight to secure the site proved just isn't worth it. Our Blogger site may be a bit uglier and simpler, but hopefully it will allow us to get back in the business of actually making games.

As such, news about Hebanon Games can now be found here at hebanon.blogspot.com. All of our products are still available on DTRPG and their associated sites. A full list can be found on the Releases page.

Just to catch you up on what was going before those bastard hackers took us down again, investigate some of the links below.

  • Actual Plays of our final scenario in the No Security KS, The Wives of March, can be heard over at RPPR. Here's Part 1 and Part 2.
  • I'm participating in a podcast called RPPR Game Designer's Workshop in which I discuss and trace the development of our next major project, a stand-along RPG called Red Markets.
  • We're currently working on making a POD version of all the No Security scenarios through DTRPG. The PDF versions (with the exception of Lover in the Ice) will still be available on a PWYW pricing scale.
  • I'm currently writing a campaign book for the great ArcDream RPG, Better Angels.

You can expect more news through this site in the future. Thanks for your interest in Hebanon Games!
